United States Assistant Attorney General Visits Little Rock Central High School


Earlier this week, U.S. Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke visited Little Rock Central High with students at Central High. The conversation was moderated by LRCH senior Shankul Lohakare, also president of the Mayor's Youth Council.

LRCH Student Advances to National Brain Bee


After placing 1st in Arkansas, Aakash Bhattacharyya of Central High School will compete at the National Brain Bee competition at the University of California Irvine Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory! Congrats and good luck on this next phase of the competition, Aakash!

Taco Bell Scholarship


Little Rock Southwest High Senior Lauryn Howard was awarded a $10,000 Taco Bell Live Mas Scholarship! If you keep up with our posts, you should know how ambitious and hardworking this young lady is. Congratulations, Lauryn; we are so excited for you and all your accomplishments.

Parkview Choirs Attended the Music in the Parks Competition in Texas

Parkview choirs took 48 students to the Music in the Parks competition hosted at Midlothian High School followed by a trip to Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas. The Festival Choir earned “Superior” ratings from both adjudicators earning 1st place in their category and the highest score overall. Student conductor, Chloee Buchanan, earned the student conductor medal. Way to go, Parkview!

Little Rock West Students and Educator Received Special Recognition

Join us in congratulating Mrs. Helen Strickland, who received the Outstanding Speech and Debate Educator and Outstanding Theatre Educator Awards. Student Isabella Dunkley received state champion for Novice IPDA. Caleb Bowman received ACTAA State 2023 runner-up for Novice IPDA speaker. We are so proud of the hard work!

Mabelvale Elementary Community Movie Night


Join Mabelvale Elementary for their final community event of the 2022-2023 school year. They will host a movie night for the community in their library/media center, and food will be provided.

Ballet Arkansas presents “Live at the Plaza: Culture in Community” April 26 – April 30
