Urban League Supports Stephens' Students


The Urban League of Arkansas donated uniforms to to help support students at Stephens.  Thanks for making a difference in our school community, Urban League!
One Rock Legends Hall of Fame Inducts New Honorees



Seven new members will be inducted into the Second Annual One Rock Legends Hall of Fame for the upcoming Class at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 11301 Financial Parkway. The honorees are listed below:

Bernie Cox
Marcus Elliott
Derek Fisher
CW Keopple (Posthumously)
Leslie O'Neal
Tyler Scaife
Duane Washington

"These former LRSD students and coaches have demonstrated excellence in athletics and as influential leaders and role models," said Dr. Fitz Hill, Executive Director of the LRSD Athletic Foundation.

Jefferson Achievers Reach Reading Goals!
Jefferson Elementary students who achieved their 1st semester Accelerated Reader Goals earned a magic show in the Library this week.  We are very proud of our readers.#ReadingforSuccess!
Dunbar Students Visit with Miss Greater Little Rock

Students at Dunbar Magnet Middle School were visited by Miss Greater Little Rock, Taryn Bewley, who read "The Night Before Christmas" to the students. Although her main purpose was to share her love of reading with the students and to challenge them to read at least one book over the winter break. Taryn also allowed the students to ask her questions about college life and the Miss America pageant system.  The students are looking forward to watching her compete in the Miss Arkansas Pageant in June.  Taryn is the daughter of LRSD school psychology specialist Allyson Bewley.
