CAUGHT DOING GOOD
This week's appreciation shout out goes to Bale Elem. 3rd Grade teacher

Kristyn Richard

Congratulations to Ms. Kristyn Richard, 3rd grade teacher at Bale Elementary! Ms. Richard is known as the "Left part of Mrs. Browning's brain". She caters to the success of the administrative staff and has shown exemplary leadership skills for the team.

Thank you Ms. Richard for all you do!

The Great Debaters!

Recently, our LRCH debaters competed at the Greenhill Fall Classic--widely considered the hardest tournament of the fall semester.

Juniors Remi Roberts and Richard Liu earned their SECOND bid to the Tournament of Champions this weekend, advancing as the 3rd seed in the tournament (of 32 advancing teams). Juniors Aryan Gaddi and Joseph Rhee also advanced to the bid round, earning their FIRST bid to the Tournament of Champions (you need at least two bids to fully qualify). This is the first time in program history that more than one team in a single season has qualified to the Tournament of Champions in program history. (A professional goal now realized for extraordinary sponsor, Rosie Valdez)

To top off an already amazing weekend--Remi Roberts earned TOP SPEAKER at the tournament! She is one of few women and even fewer women of color to ever win this award. She beat out 205 other debaters to bring home the top prize. Her partner, Richard Liu, earned 9th Speaker. This is the first time Central debaters have broken the Top 10 Speakers at this tournament in program history.  Congrats!

Enjoy This Fun Virtual Tour of Fair Park ECC

World Smile Day!

Everyone deserves a smile. Smiling does not discriminate against race, creed, politics, gender, age, nor religion.  It's within the moment of a genuine smile accompanied with a simple act of kindness that becomes the most recognizable moment of a good will and good cheer.  So join the celebration by doing at least one act of kindness to pout a smile on someone's face.
