No Debate about Winning LRCH Team Members!

The LRCH Debate recently traveled to the University of Kentucky at Lexington for the 2019 National Debate Season Opener where Seniors Sakshi Garg and Valorie Lam earned their first bid to to Tournament of Champions of the 2019-2020 season!  Garg and Lam finished preliminary rounds with a 4-2 record in a pool of 77 teams, and defeated Alpharetta (GA) in the Double-Octafinals round, ADL (International) in the Octafinals round, and Cypress Bay (FL) in the Quarterfinals round. They finished their amazing run at in the Final Four (Semifinals) in a close 2-1 decision to a second Alpharetta team and eventual tournament champions.

This is the start of what is certain to be a historic season for Garg and Lam, who were vying for  their second bid last weekend at the Greenhill Fall Classic in Addison, TX.

Additionally, LRCH advanced Sophomore Joe Rhee and Junior Abdullah Ahmed to the Double-Octafinals round, where they faced off with the formidable Montgomery Bell Academy (TN) in a hard fought 2-1 round.

Junior Nicole Doris earned a speaker award, placing 13th out of 154 individual speakers.  Congrats to these awesome students!
