Free Grand Opening Event at MTCC
Little Rock – Mosaic Templars Cultural Center (MTCC) invites the public to attend the grand opening of their new Children’s Gallery debuting the exhibit “Same. Different. Amazing.” The free family-friendly event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, with activities both in and outside the museum at 501 W. Ninth St. in downtown Little Rock.
The interactive exhibit is designed for children ages 2-9 and contains stations around the room that prompt kids to ask questions and engage in dialogue about similarities and differences. The exhibit also focuses on reinforcing messages of positivity that developing children need to hear.
Families will sign up when they arrive for a time slot to visit the Children’s Gallery. In addition to gallery tours throughout the day, other activities planned include:
- Crafts and activities by the MTCC Education Department
- Food trucks with kid favorite items available for purchase
- DJ spinning tunes
- Magician Tommy Terrific
- Gift shop stocked with new kid-friendly items
In light of COVID-19 concerns, guests are encouraged to mask and social distance. The gallery will be cleaned between small groups and sanitizer stations will be available through out the museum.
