Remembering 9-11History teachers play an important role in educating our students about critical periods that define our times. LR West High School of Innovation teacher Megan Prettyman was featured this week on THV-11, sharing her story - what she remembered about September 11, 2001 as a first-grader. She now helps her students, all whom were not even born, understand how history has been shaped by the events of 9-11.

Amazing.” The free family-friendly event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, with activities both in and outside the museum at 501 W. Ninth St. in downtown Little Rock.
The interactive exhibit is designed for children ages 2-9 and contains stations around the room that prompt kids to ask questions and engage in dialogue about similarities and differences. The exhibit also focuses on reinforcing messages of positivity that developing children need to hear.

- Crafts and activities by the MTCC Education Department
- Food trucks with kid favorite items available for purchase
