Approximately 30 staff members at Wakefield Elementary School participated in CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training as part of the school's ongoing commitment to student safety and emergency preparedness. The training, conducted by certified instructors, provided hands-on experience in essential life-saving techniques, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), how to respond to choking emergencies, wound care, and other first aid protocols. Staff also reviewed best practices for maintaining a safe and responsive learning environment. School administrators praised the staff’s dedication to ensuring a safe learning environment for their students.

The Little Rock School District offers a robust Advanced Placement (AP) program, allowing students to take college-level courses in high school. With 38 courses across 20 subjects, students can earn college credit by scoring 3 or higher on the national AP exams. AP classes not only provide academic challenges but also enhance college applications.

The Little Rock Farmers Market has opened its doors for another season, welcoming visitors to the River Market with its farm-fresh produce, locally crafted foods, and handmade arts and crafts. As it has since 1996, the market invites SNAP beneficiaries, offering tokens purchasable on-site and participating in the Double Up Food Bucks program.
