LRCH Students Pose Triple Threat with
Perfect ACT Scores

We are thrilled to announce that Kevin Durden and Yahya Younus, both students at Little Rock Central High, join their classmate Akul Shiravastava in achieving an outstanding score of 36 on the ACT exam.

Achieving a perfect 36 score on the ACT exam is no small feat, and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to achieve such a remarkable milestone. In the Little Rock School District (LRSD), this achievement is becoming increasingly common, as two additional students have joined the ranks of those who have achieved a perfect score.

This is a testament to the students' abilities and the district's commitment to providing a high-quality education that prepares students for success in college and beyond. Through rigorous coursework, personalized support, and a culture of excellence, LRSD students are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to achieve their goals. Congratulations Durden, Yahya, and Akul on their well-deserved success!

44th Arkansas Governor School: West Students Shine Among LRSD's Finest

A group of LR West students were among LRSD students participating in Arkansas Governor's School. They have been participating in a variety of academic programs and extracurricular activities.
In addition to their studies, students also had the opportunity to recognize teachers who have made a significant impact on their lives.

During a ceremony held last night, students were able to honor teachers who have gone above and beyond to support their academic and personal growth. This recognition highlights the important role that teachers play in shaping the lives of their students.

We are proud of the students who attended the Arkansas Governor's School and grateful for the teachers who have made such a positive impact on their lives. We look forward to continued success and growth for all involved.

If you know students from other LRSD schools who attended Arkansas Governor's School, please email us the details, including their names, pictures, and any additional details you deem necessary.

Reimagining Leadership Through Professional Development

LRSD kicked off #2023LeadershipInstitute this week as part of its efforts to #ReimagineLRSD through teaching and learning. The institute brings together administrators from across the District to engage in professional development, collaborate with colleagues, and develop leadership skills that will help them to better serve their students. PD sessions began Monday with frontline administrative team members engaging in Customer Service and self-wellness training.

Through the #2023LeadershipInstitute, LRSD administrators will have the opportunity to explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning that are designed to meet the needs of all students, including those who are traditionally underserved. They will also learn about the latest research on effective leadership practices and how to apply those practices in their schools.

On Monday, frontline administrative assistants participated in Customer Service training and self-care/wellness sessions.

As LRSD continues to reimagine education and invest in its leaders, it is clear that the District hopes to demonstrate its continued commitment to creating a brighter future for students. Through the #2023LeadershipInstitute and other initiatives, LRSD is laying the foundation for a more equitable, innovative, and successful school system.
