LRSD Student Achieves Remarkable Accomplishment with Perfect Score on ACT


Akul Shrivastava, a student at Little Rock Central High School, has recently achieved an impressive feat that is sure to pave the way for his future academic endeavors. This spring, Akul earned a perfect composite ACT score of 36, a rare accomplishment that only a small percentage of test takers achieve each year.

We want to congratulate Akul on this amazing accomplishment and wish him all the best as he continues his academic journey. Keep shining bright, Akul, and we can't wait to see all the incredible things you'll accomplish in the future!

LRCH's Annor Boateng Represented USA at the Prestigious Adidas Basketball Eurocamp


We are thrilled to announce that LRCH's very own Annor Boateng represented the USA at the prestigious Adidas Basketball Eurocamp in Treviso, Italy. This is a remarkable achievement for Annor and we could not be prouder of him.

The Eurocamp is an invitation-only event that brings together some of the top international basketball players, making it an incredible platform for young talent to showcase their skills. Annor's participation in the camp is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport.

We are confident that this is just the beginning of a long and successful career for Annor, and we are excited to see what the future holds for him. Congratulations, Annor, on this notable achievement!

Beloved Former LR Parkview Coach Al Flanigan Inducted into the AHSCA Hall of Fame


LR Parkview Coach Al Flanigan (left) has been inducted into the Arkansas High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame. This prestigious honor is a testament to Coach Flanigan's dedication, hard work, and positive impact on countless student-athletes over the years. His leadership and commitment to excellence have helped shape the lives of many young people and we are proud to have him as a member of our community. Congratulations, Coach Flanigan, on this well-deserved recognition!

Former LRSD Student and NBA Star Moses Moody Shines Spotlight on Literacy


Little Rock Southwest High School welcomed NBA star Moses Moody (who attended LRSD elementary and middle schools), THV's Craig O'Neill, and AR Kids Read for a day filled with fun and learning for all. The event was a huge success, with every child leaving with a smile on their face, a new book, and a sense of motivation and inspiration. Little Rock Southwest High School is proud to have been the site of such a wonderful event.

Highlights included basketball training sessions with Moody as the celebrity basketball coach/trainer/motivator.  Moody shared his expertise and passion for the game with the enthusiastic young players. In addition, the event also featured a special appearance by Harvard basketball standout  Gabby Anderson.

Overall, the AR Kids Read event was a fantastic initiative that brought together members of the community to promote literacy and inspire children to reach for their dreams. Little Rock Southwest High School is proud to have been the host site for this wonderful event.

Mabelvale Elementary Back-to-School Bash



Join Mabelvale Elementary Saturday, August 5th, from 10a-12pm, for their Back to School Community Bash. Get the chance to tour the garden, meet the teachers, access parent resources, and more. The school will also provide free school supplies for every LRSD student in attendance.

Meal Applications Available Online


Please go online and complete a family/household application for the school year 2023-24. The process will take less than 10 minutes. There are NO paper applications. LRSD Launched Exciting New Virtual Academy Opportunity for Students


The Little Rock School District is thrilled to announce the launch of its new virtual educational option for students – Little Rock Virtual Academy (LRSDVA), providing students with a dynamic and innovative online learning experience.
