The Family Meals Challenge provides simple steps toward boosting family wellness and student success by increasing the number and quality of shared family meals. The Family Meals Challenge is a three-workshop series held on campus or online. The online workshops cover family time, literacy, screen time, nutrition, health, wellness, and support. Cooking demonstration and optional virtual shopping tour are provided.
BONUS: After each session, one (1) adult in the household will receive a FREE family meal voucher. Pre-registration and attendance are required.

February is National Heart Month
The American Heart Association is asking that you GO REDin order to raise awareness for national heart month. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, fewer patients are visiting the doctor. It is now more important than ever to remain vigilant with self-monitoring blood pressure and hypertension for at risk patients. Support the AHA's mission by going red in observation of National Heart Month.

Terry Grab-and-Go Crafts for Teens

New grab-and-go crafts every other week at the Terry Library for teens 13-18. Crafts are located on the curbside table, outside and next to the front doors.
I was diagnosed a couple of years ago with COPD and I was beyond scared! My lung function test indicated 49% capacity. After having had the flu a year ago, the shortness of breath, coughing and chest pains continued even after being treated with antibiotics. I've been smoking two packs a day for 36 years. Being born without a sternum caused my ribs to be curled in just one inch away from my spine, resulting in underdeveloped lungs. At age 34 I had surgery and it was fixed. Unfortunately my smoking just caused more damage to my already under developed lungs. The problem was that I enjoyed smoking and don't want to give up! Have tried twice before and nearly went crazy and don't want to go through that again.
