A Natural Talent Straight
Out of the Natural State

29 year old Grammy nominee and Little Rock native Mark Hudson, professionally known as "RockBoyBeats", is a true testament to the saying it pays to follow your passions. Interestingly, Hudson originally had no intention to pursue music. After graduating from Little Rock Parkview High School in 2012, he went on to study science at the University of Central Arkansas, when his focus started to shift towards making music.

Hudson's list of successes does not start, and certainly doesn't end with this Grammy nomination for his work producing Chris Brown's album. He's worked with a plethora of A-list celebrities, including Cardi B, Jeremih, Ty Dolla Sign, Kevin Gates, Yo Gotti, and more. We look forward to seeing what's to come from "RockBoyBeats" and his influence on the music scene right here in Arkansas. Please be sure to tune in to the 65th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony on February 5th, at 6pm, to cheer Hudson on. You can also watch him talk more about his story with KATV's Ashley Crockett here.

Hey Siri, Spell S-U-C-C-E-S-S

Little Rock School District hosted a districtwide spelling bee on Wednesday at Little Rock Southwest High School where three students emerged victorious. Please join us in congratulating first-place winner, Brayden Saloman (Forest Heights STEM Academy), second-place winner, Alexandrei Alcones (Brady Elementary), and third-place winner, Lexi Boyd (Jefferson Elementary School).

The competition was tough, but these young spellers put their game faces on and handled business. The district bee was designed to prepare students for the county spelling bee this coming weekend, so BEE on the lookout for our young, bright minds and wish them luck.

Brayden Saloman (Forest Heights STEM Academy)
Alexandrei Alcones (Brady Elementary)
Lexi Boyd (Jefferson Elementary School)
