LR Central National Honor Society Field Trip Deemed a Great Success

Last Friday, 37 Central High National Honor Society students took a field trip to the Food Bank, where they worked hard packing boxes to be distributed to families and bagging sweet potatoes into five-pound allotments.

The volunteer coordinator said high schools volunteer all time, but he has never had a group work as hard or have as much fun as Central's students. They danced and sang along with the music that was playing in the warehouse; all in all, they packaged 465 boxes and 1,760 pounds of potatoes.  And they did it all with Tiger pride!

Community Connections & Conversations

Yesterday's Community Connections & Conversations meeting was held at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Thank you to the community members who came out to add their voices to the conversation. The agenda addressed LRSD's board goals, District priorities, and the implementation steps for the priorities. Make sure you come out to the next community meeting on Monday, November 14th at 5:30 at Life Line Baptist Church to share your input.  Meantime, here's a link to the presentation and the QR code for you to upload your feedback to a couple of questions.

Make Sure You Stay Connected!
