Parenting Partners Completion Class Graduates!

Oh, the places you’ll go! is a wonderful story by Dr. Seuss and served as the theme for the 2019-2020 Title I Parenting Partners Completion Class Graduation. The event celebrated and honored 60 parents from ten (10) LRSD schools and the Title I Department.  To be eligible to graduate, parents had to participate in at least six facilitated Parenting Partners workshops. Each school selected a Parent Champion who was awarded a trophy to recognize his/her leadership at home, as well as contributing knowledge, skills and leadership to extended family, school and the community. In addition to the Parent Champion award, parents who had perfect attendance were recognized. All participating graduates received a certificate of completion signed and presented by Superintendent Poore.

LRCH STEM & Humanities Fair Showcases Students Research

Little Rock Central High School 2020 STEM & Humanities Expo was incredible!  Approximately 80 professionals from Central Arkansas and beyond interviewed and evaluated 294 science research students and critiqued over 60 humanities exhibits.  We are proud of our students, and are very appreciative of the support the received from the teachers.  Thanks to the many parents who assisted in organizing and serving food to the judges and special guests.  Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority, once again, provided the students with terrific prizes.  The judging process added an additional 1,176 man hours of volunteer service for the school. Lead PTSA hostess, Britt Runion, arranged for a lovely breakfast and luncheon for the judges.
