Thanks to First Security Bank, more Little Rock School District students are becoming young money managers. Gibbs International Magnet School is the newest participant in the school-bank program. Marking the seventh year of the successful effort, the program will allow Gibbs students the opportunity to open savings accounts, which will be supported through First Security Bank. Students will also serve as bank tellers, having undergone training to proficiently handle basic financial transactions and showcase customer service skills. The goal of the bank program is to help teach students financial literacy while equipping them with life-long money management skills. The students are also getting exposure to career options in the banking profession.
